Ketamine for Pain

COMPLEX REGIONAL PAIN SYNDROME (CRPS)
Formerly known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy, this is one of the most severe types of pain that a patient can deal with. It usually affects one limb, and it can cause severe burning and persistent pain. Symptoms may include swelling, redness, increased temperature, hypersensitivity to touch cold and heat stiffness changes in skin, texture, appearance, muscle weakness, and atrophy, difficulty using affected, limb and extreme psychological distress.
Ketamine IV with a syringe pump is a preferred regimen.
